Gear Head Motors : ARC builds a broad selection of precision gearheads that can either be mounted to our motors or supplied separately. Gearheads increase the output torque proportional to the gear ratio and the speed of the output shaft is reduced by the same ratio. Typical gearhead efficiency is 85% or better. Zero Backlash/Anti Backlash units/gears are available. Many different ratios are available from size 8 (0.75" diameter) to size 23 (2.25" diameter.) All gears are treated for long life. Special materials and lubrication is available to meet stringent requirements.
